Chandrayaan 3

1. चंद्रयान-3 चंद्रमा पर भारत का तीसरा मिशन है, 
2. जिसे इसरो द्वारा 14 जुलाई, 2023 को श्रीहरिकोटा, आंध्र प्रदेश से लॉन्च किया गया था। 
3. इसमें एक लैंडर और एक रोवर शामिल है, जिनका नाम क्रमशः विक्रम और प्रज्ञान है।
4.  इसका उद्देश्य चंद्रमा के दक्षिणी ध्रुवीय क्षेत्र का पता लगाना और
5.  भारत की सॉफ्ट लैंडिंग क्षमताओं का प्रदर्शन करना है।

इसने 5 अगस्त, 2023 को चंद्र कक्षा में प्रवेश किया और लैंडर 23 अगस्त, 2023 को  नीचे उतरा,

1.  जिससे भारत चंद्रमा पर सफलतापूर्वक उतरने वाला चौथा देश बन गया,
2.  और चंद्रमा के दक्षिणी ध्रुव के पास ऐसा करने वाला पहला देश बन गया।

इसने 3 सितंबर, 2023 को एक हॉप परीक्षण किया, जहां लैंडर अपनी प्रारंभिक लैंडिंग साइट से उठा और लगभग 30 सेमी दूर दूसरे स्थान पर चला गया।

• Chandrayaan-3 is India’s third mission to the Moon, launched by ISRO on July 14, 2023 from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. It consists of a lander and a rover, named Vikram and Pragyan respectively. It aims to explore the lunar south polar region and demonstrate India’s soft landing capabilities.

  Some additional details about the mission are:

  • It is a follow-up mission to Chandrayaan-2, which failed to land on the Moon in 2019¹.
  • It entered lunar orbit on August 5, 2023 and the lander touched down on August 23, 2023 at 12:33 UTC, making India the fourth country to successfully land on the Moon, and the first to do so near the lunar south pole
• It carries four scientific instruments on the lander and two on the rover, to study the lunar surface, subsurface, environment, and seismic activity.
• It performed a hop test on September 3, 2023, where the lander lifted off from its initial landing site and moved to another location about 30cm away.
• It has a planned mission duration of one lunar day (14 Earth days) for the lander and rover.
