• वर्ल्ड एथलेटिक्स चैंपियनशिप: नीरज चोपड़ा ने 28 अगस्त 2023 को हंगरी के बुडापेस्ट में हुए World Athletics Championships 2023 में men’s javelin (पुरुषों का भाला) में gold medal (स्वर्ण पदक) जीतकर इतिहास रचा। उन्होंने 89.58 मीटर की throw (फेंक) करके भारत को World Athletics Championships में पहला gold medal (स्वर्ण पदक) दिलाया।
• हिंदुस्तानी संस्कृति: नीरज चोपड़ा की संस्कृति के प्रति सम्मान की मिसाल है। उन्होंने World Championships में Indian flag (भारतीय ध्वज) पर sign (हस्ताक्षर) करने से मना कर दिया, क्योंकि उनका कहना है कि ‘Wahaan nahin sign kar sakta (can’t sign there)’।
